GuestHi,
currently I’m using Enfold theme for my website, but it’s just some old, not supported version – 3.8.
This makes lots of issues with it and I’m wondering two things.
– if I buy a new Enfold theme from you, with its regular license, how to apply it in my website without any current settings to be lost? I mean, the website is active now and I don’t want to lose months or even days with absolutely new setup, I just want to exchange the things from my old theme to the new one? Do you provide any support in the process of installations?
Second question, for which php version can be applied the new Enfold? My current version is php 5.6, the higher php in my hosting provider is 7.3.Best regards,

You don’t need to buy a new license, you can download the latest version from your Themeforest account.
The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please delete the old version of the theme, then upload the new one. Make sure that you have backups of the site before you start updating in case something should go wrong.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

GuestHi Rikard,
thank you, but I don’t have Themeforest account and your advice is not applicable for me. If I want everything to goes smoothly, what could be done from my side?
Best regards,

In that case, you can refer to posts Rikard shared above after purchasing a license.
We would recommend you to duplicate your existing site on a testing site and update the theme there. You may need to reconfigure header options and widgets.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Best regards,
