I have videos on my page using the visual editor video modules. It seems that whenever I update the page, the videos break. I can fix them by adding https:// before the URLs, but I have to do this again and again and it’s inefficient to do to all the videos every time I make an edit. They are Youtube linked videos.
Any idea on why this is happening or what to do. I put a private content link below to where this is happening

Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

March 14, 2019 at 10:50 am #1078637Hi,
Thanks for that, though the login details are not working. Could you check and verify please?

RikardMarch 19, 2019 at 7:29 am #1080233Yes. Just updated.
When we update pages, images break too. Example https://brandingforthepeople.com/intensive
https://brandingforthepeople.com/speaking/ has broken videos when we update and save

March 20, 2019 at 6:14 am #1080660In the same line, whenever I adjust settings in the editor so hyperlinks open in a new window, the settings get reset once I click preview or save draft. I recorded a small video for you, https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqeqFq0Etc
March 21, 2019 at 8:49 am #1081238Hi,
Thanks for the update. What happens if you select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options? Please also consider updating the theme to the latest version (4.5.5): https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 22, 2019 at 2:44 am #1081675I updated the theme. No difference.
I;m not sure what happens with classic editor, we are using Advanced Layout because that’s how the site was built and it’s easiest for our team to use. We want to continue using it and get this bug fixed.
Does the new login provided work?
Same deal – you’ll go to the editor for a page like brandingforthepeople.com/intensive and notice the videos don’t have https: in the beginning and are thus broken if we hit apply. We’ll manually update the links and click apply and everything is good…that is until we go to edit the page again and then we have to manually update the links again…whenever we make an edit.
March 26, 2019 at 3:55 am #1082951Bump. Just wanted to see about any updates on this.
March 26, 2019 at 7:54 am #1082986Hi,
The videos should work fine even without the “https” or “http” at the start of the url. It is going to be automatically prepended based on the protocol the site is loaded, so if the site loads over “https”, those youtube videos will load over the same protocol.

IsmaelMarch 28, 2019 at 9:29 am #1083974Yeah, that may be true, but it’s still giving the problem described with videos and media regardless of what it should be doing. :) Did you look at the issue with login you guys requested earlier?
We have devs on our team who have looked at it and we have done basic troubleshooting, but this seems to be an issue with the theme beyond us. We created this ticket on March 8th and I dont feel like we have made much progress.
April 1, 2019 at 12:12 pm #1085446Hi,
Have you tried disabling the “Remove HTTP” plugin? We can’t reproduce the issue on our end, so the problem in your installation is probably related to a plugin or a custom script. Let us know if disabling that plugin works.
Best regards,
IsmaelApril 2, 2019 at 10:54 am #1086018Trying. Will update you. If I don’t reply, you can assume it worked :)
