    Hi,
    I’m helping a client with a site, which has not been updated for ages. He purchased it from an agency, which is no longer reachable. The site runs Enfold 3.1.3, which causes White Screen of Death.
    My question is: If he purchases an update to latest Enfold, will everything work?
    If not, it will add hours of development, and thereby therefore be a lot more expensive for the client.
    I need to advise him before any further action.

    Yes, updating the theme should fix any issues you are currently experiencing :)

    To update to the latest version follow the simple instructions here.

    Once you update the theme please register using a personal token.

    Lastly do not forget to take a backup of your site including the theme settings.
