Hello,
I have been aware of the issues surrounding updating Enfold and found the following solution in a previous threadThe issue is caused by a known bug in the themeforest api. To fix it use the theme editor (Appearance > Editor) and edit Enfold. Go to enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/ and open the class-pixelentity-theme-update.php file. Clear the entire file (remove the code) and copy the entire code from here https://pastebin.com/raw/epetJ1SG into the blank file. Afterwards save the file and the update should work.
You can also use ftp to update the file. Save the code from here: https://pastebin.com/raw/epetJ1SG to a file called class-pixelentity-theme-update.php. Then connect to your server via ftp, go to the directory wp-content/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/ and overwrite the class-pixelentity-theme-update.php with the updated file you created before.
Best regards,
DudeI tried this solution and nothing helped.
I have over 10 websites that currently need Enfold updated and I am not happy to be spending time updating them all through FTP. Is there some solution that you could suggest to me please? And is this going to be a longstanding issue with further updates? I have included the logins below for the website I tried the solution on for you to take a look.
I look forward to your response

January 23, 2019 at 5:52 am #1057581Hey bauchope,
Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
Also please read this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/updating-to-enfold-4-5-and-validating-personal-token/

RikardJanuary 23, 2019 at 3:53 pm #1057776OK that’s fine. I will try to use the plugin option. If I want 4.5 version though where can I find this on Envato market? I usually just buy another license from a previous download but if this needs to be a new version do I need to buy it again? So in other words do I need to pay $59 for another updated version?
If not, where can I find the 4.5 zip file?
Thanks
January 23, 2019 at 6:58 pm #1057887Hi bauchope,
You can find the 4.5 version in your Themeforest account.
What do you mean by this sentence:
I usually just buy another license from a previous download but if this needs to be a new version do I need to buy it again?

VictoriaJanuary 23, 2019 at 7:03 pm #1057890How do I know it’s 4.5? it looks like 4.4.1 to me.
I mean I click on the downloads page and it says “buy another license”
January 24, 2019 at 8:29 am #1058071Hi,
The version which you download from Themeforest is always the current version, right now it’s 4.5.2. You can verify that by downloading the file and opening up style.css. If you need 4.5 then we can send it to you if you like, though I would recommend that you use the latest version.

You can mark this as resolved.
