Hi
i spend a lot of time into getting good speed values and had values of 89 / 94 in gtmetrix (incl. solved all issues like gzip and others)
After updating the values are VERY BAD.

All these plugins / htaccessrules are still there.
The ONLY thing changed were updating WP & EnfoldSO WHY did my speed values went down the gutter??
HOW to FIX that?

Thank you for using Enfold.
Looks like the script is from a third party video player plugin. Did you install a new plugin? Did you enable the theme’s Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings? You may need to toggle it again after the update.

Ismael1: I did nothing except updating
2: The fact that gzip is issued althought gzip is active has nothing to do with any thirdpartyscripts. This parameter had an A grade before updating – now it has an F grade.
3: The same with defer javascript & levering browser cache
4: i toggled everything in Enfold > Performance and cleared the cache but still it has the same very bad valuesHi,
Do you have a staging site that is using an older version of the theme? This article should help:

Specially not if all values were “Grade A” before the update and are “Grade F” after.I shouldnt bother about having probably the lowest value ever measured?

It took me half a working day to finetune.
AFTER that i HAD these good values.
Directly AFTER THE UPDATE the values went down the gutter.Did you realize the problem now?

Alright. The site’s score might have changed because that test is now using a different testing tool (https://searchengineland.com/google-pagespeeds-insights-tool-gets-a-major-update-with-more-data-from-lighthouse-307968). Please look at the suggested optimizations provided by the reports. For example, it says that you have to “Defer offscreen images”. In the list, you can see images that can be optimized and one of them is a gif image (gefaellt.gif). That image alone is 867KB, which is far from an optimized image. Yes, it is animated, but if you really want to optimize the page, you should remove it or lower its quality a bit more. Another suggestion is that you should “Use video formats for animated content” and again, it points to the gefaellt.gif image. Follow those suggestions and you should be able to increase the page speed.
