December 17, 2018 at 11:16 pm #1046603Hey Boria20000,
What errors did you get?
Also if you’re trying to update to WP 5.0 on your live site, please try it on a stage site first as it may cause some issues on your live site, you can check on this post on how to create a stage site: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/Best regards,
NikkoDecember 17, 2018 at 11:36 pm #1046617hello,

NikkoDecember 18, 2018 at 12:31 am #1046658Thanks I will try that for sure and hope it helps !
Is it better to update the theme first and then WordPress or the other way around ?
Thx
December 18, 2018 at 12:41 am #1046662Hi Boria20000,
This is a bit subjective but logically I think the theme should be updated first since it’s compatible with both WP 5 and 4.9.8 then updating to WordPress comes next.
But to be safe, using stage site to test and update first is the best approach since there will be no risk of messing up your live site.Best regards,
NikkoDecember 18, 2018 at 11:17 pm #1047038Sad to inform that the below solution did not work – after replacing php file – i was no longer able to to login to my WP Panel and had to do a restore on my host account – can i please pay you guys to solve this issue for me ?
what i did was follow this recommendation:
To fix it use the theme editor (Appearance > Editor) and edit Enfold. Go to enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/ and open the class-pixelentity-theme-update.php file. Clear the entire file (remove the code) and copy the entire code from here https://pastebin.com/raw/epetJ1SG into the blank file. Afterwards save the file and the update should work.
You can also use ftp to update the file. Save the code from here: https://pastebin.com/raw/epetJ1SG to a file called class-pixelentity-theme-update.php. Then connect to your server via ftp, go to the directory wp-content/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/ and overwrite the class-pixelentity-theme-update.php with the updated file you created before.
Cheers!
PeterPlease help
