Hello,
I’ve updated the Enfold from 3.8.4 to 4.5.1 and almost all embedded YouTube videos disappeared from posts.
They are not only not visible in browser, but the codes also gone from the posts.Btw, I had an error “Download failed. A valid URL was not provided” when tried to update the theme. Fixed it with updated class-pixelentity-theme-update.php file (solution from this post). Not sure if that could cause the issue – just for the information.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,

Thanks for that, it might be because of the site not having an SSL certificate. Maybe you could try to fix that problem first?

I’m using Staging Area provided by my hosting to test new Endold theme and WordPress 5.0 before merging the changes with live site – that’s why it didn’t have SSL certificate. I installed certificate now and there is no video anyway.
Probably, the codes disappeared at the moment of updating theme. So I will try to repeat the process from scratch with installed certificate. Will update you with the results.
Update
Unfortunately, it didn’t help – most of the videos disappered again (this time I was updating the theme after SSL certificated had been installed).Regards,
ArtemDecember 12, 2018 at 12:53 pm #1044292Actually, I can just insert embedded codes manually (since I don’t have hundreds of posts yet). But, anyway, it would be useful to figure out the reason of that issue in case if someone else faces it too or if I face it again in the future when the amount of posts would be higher.
Thanks in advance!

ArtemDecember 13, 2018 at 4:59 am #1044681Hi Artem,
Thanks for the update, so you got your problems working? We haven’t heard of anyone else reporting this so I think it might be something local to your site. Let us know if you should need any further help on the topic.

RikardDecember 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm #1044870Yes, I inserted the codes manually, so the issue is fixed. But I have another question:
How can I make embedded YouTube video responsive? I have to use iframe code for specific setups (like hiding title & info, etc.), so Enfold widget is not an option.

You might want to use css and media queries to adjust the iframe for various screen sizes.

Thank you for reply!
I would be very thankful if you could forward me to some post/thread where it’s discussed in more details (if there is one, of course).
