Hi Guys,
I had to manually upgrade to the latest version (4.4.1), which I did by renaming the enfold theme folder to OLD-enfold, then uploaded the latest version..
Now my menus are not working correctly.
Can you advise how I can fix?
December 10, 2018 at 5:42 pm #1043203Hey jnrdavo,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

Thanks for that. I see that you haven’t selected the menu to show as the theme main menu on the page in private. Could you try to set that to see if it helps please?
Best regards,

No, I mean at the bottom of the page I linked to. Look for Menu Settings, you will see that you haven’t assigned the menu to a display area. You should check Enfold Main Menu if you want the menu to display as your main menu.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 11, 2018 at 10:19 am #1043677got it, appreciate your help. Been a while since I had to play with Menus.
I suppose I’m all good to upgrade to WordPress 5 now?
December 11, 2018 at 12:55 pm #1043727Hi,
Great, glad we could help.
I guess you are all set to upgrade, though if you want my personal advice I would hold off with updating WordPress until some maintenance releases are available. Another option would be to update the site on a staging site first. If you want to update your production site then I would advice to read this thread first: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/updating-to-wordpress-v5-please-read/
Best regards,
RikardDecember 11, 2018 at 9:07 pm #1043981thanks for all the help. I’m just missing the footer information now, it looks like what I had setup before has been lost.
December 13, 2018 at 11:09 am #1044799Is there anyway to get the footer back to the way it was? I can’t remember exactly, but I did backup the setting prior (and restored, so not sure why they are missing/different).
December 15, 2018 at 4:29 pm #1045664Hi jnrdavo,
Are you referring to footer widgets?
Try to go to Appearance > Widgets > (at the bottom left) find Inactive Widgets, your widgets might have been placed there, you can put it back by dragging it to the footer widget area.Best regards,
