Hi
on my website https://hi-flyfoto.de/ I use two contact forms. One in the footer of each page, which is the shortcode of a contact form copied into the widget.
Here the email is sent from the entered email address
and the sender receives a confirmation email from the email address defined as autoresponder. Everything is fineIn the normal contact form https://hi-flyfoto.de/luftaufnahmen-kontakt-angebot this does not happen.
the email is sent from (Email address hidden if logged out) (and not the entered email), and no autoresponse email goes to the sender
(although the confirmation appears on the page after hitting the send button).
This is confirmed by WP Mail Log
The two forms are essentially the same, except for the amount of fields.
Deactivating all plugins or not using the child theme does not solve the issue. This is really confusing me and I’d be glad for some help

BasilisNovember 16, 2018 at 11:18 am #1034367Hi,
thank you, so what can be done about this issue?
I have the same on this website: https://drohnen-inspekteure.de/Sending a message with the footer form generates an autoresponder email,
sending a message with the contact page form does not.Kind regards
MichaelNovember 19, 2018 at 6:04 pm #1035228Hi,
If u are on the contact page, does the footer form works?
Best regards,
BasilisNovember 19, 2018 at 10:11 pm #1035342Hi,
the footer form is hidden on the contact page, so there are not two forms.
But I have unhidden and tested it. It works like on the other pagesKind regards
MichaelNovember 24, 2018 at 2:58 pm #1037253Hi,
OK, from what I can understand the problem is when there are 2 forms into one page.
We do need some more time on that, so we can understand the issues completely.Best regards,
BasilisNovember 26, 2018 at 10:35 am #1037577Hi
that does not seem to be the explanation for the issue.
For a test I have deleted the form in the footer, and it does not make a difference to the email sent from the contact page.Kind regards
MichaelDecember 3, 2018 at 6:46 am #1040141Hi,
These steps should help you troubleshoot the issue:
// https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/contact-form/#my-contact-form-is-not-sending-emails-
You may need to set a unique “from” address, one that is using your domain name.

IsmaelDecember 3, 2018 at 7:13 pm #1040446Hi
Just for fun I created a new testpage with a similar form – and it works!
Then I re-created a new form on my contact page, deleted the old one – and it works!
However, and this is really strange. On the other website https://drohnen-inspekteure.de/ there was the same problem.
So I deleted the old form and created a new one – works again.
It looks like some hiccup sneaked into the contact forms, but how could this happen on two different sites?
Anyone have any idea? Perhaps the email mentioned above ” (Email address hidden if logged out) ” is a clue? I did not set that up.Kind regards

December 5, 2018 at 3:58 am #1041056Hi,
Odd. The “no-reply” email address is automatically set as the default “from” address when the autoresponder email is not set or when an email field does not exist in the contact form. Again, you can set the “from” address manually by using the filter.

Ok, looks like the forms “forgot” the “from” email address.
Don’t know why, but let’s hope they remember them now.Kind regards
