    Hello!

Storytime. I bought a wordpress site off of a designer company in 2015. It was built using the Enfold theme and has been working fantastic, up until this morning. When debugging the config file the following (15!) error messages show up, all I suspect related an old Enfold theme? As I’m not an expert I am now looking into this.

Basically my question is: If a designer builds a page in Enfold, is the theme license aquired to every unique site or to the creator? If the latter, will buying the theme and updating it fix these issues?

    Best regards

    Hey Hampus,

Sorry for your problem. Whoever purchases the license owns it basically, if it was up to me then I would somehow make designers hand over the license to the actual site owner or whoever will maintain the site, that is not how it works in reality unfortunately.

If you don’t have access to the theme file then I would recommend to you buy a new license, otherwise you will likely continue to have problems in the future. You can purchase a theme license here: https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990

Once you have your license then you might have to delete the old version before you upload the new one in order for it to install properly: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin like this in order to upload the new zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
