    hello, wanted to update the enfold theme but it seems not to be working…
    what to do?

    Hi,

    Envato updated their API, therefore we needed to adjust auto updater function in Enfold files.

    It currently works fine but since updated code is in Enfold 4.5, manual update would be necessary, either via FTP – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#reinstall-or-update-using-ftp or alternatively, you can install this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/, download the latest version of Enfold from ThemeForest and upload it in Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload and theme will be updated.

    Also, our devs suspect that Envato stores cookies with login data/connection data in the browser and therefore might block requests. If that happens to be the case, please try validating your personal token in incognito mode – https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

    If you would like us to update the theme for you, please post WP admin logins here privately

    hello yigit, thanks for the answer.
    this plugin helped me with updating to the new version (4.5).
    so far , no problem.
    however , if i want to be able to automatically update in the future i had to generate this new API token, which i did.

    now, inserting this token in the validation field is where it goes wrong; it wont save (the ‘ saving circle ‘ keeps on turning but nothing happens…)
    what to do?

    Hi,
    Please try opening a incognito browser tab and entering the token then.
    Another possibly is that there are some permissions that is needed, but not selected when creating the token, please read this.

    Hi Mike, i ve used Opera now instead of Firefox and it went with no problem!
