I am trying to edit the font size, weight, and type in the main menu. I have done this in the past on other enfold sites, but nothing I do will work. I’ve even tried using the Advanced Styling and other quick CSS I’ve found in the help forum, but nothing works. Please help!
I’ve included a link to the page I am working on.
October 14, 2018 at 2:18 am #1021132Same problem here. If I use a different browser, I see the change but then it will only show the change once only. After that, it does not show any changes. Tested on chrome, firefox and safari.
I’ve included a link to my page. What else do you need to log in and check it.
ThanksOctober 14, 2018 at 5:44 am #1021160Hi,
Please try to regenerate files under Enfold->Performance, clear your browser cache and reload the page. If you are using caching/minification plugins then please clear the cache from them and disable them while you are making changes to the site. When to not use a caching plugin
Best regards,
RikardOctober 16, 2018 at 11:53 am #1022116I am having the same problem. I have used Enfold many times over the last few years but I have not encountered this problem, so it must be an issue with the latest release??
I have noticed that when I add quick CSS, the changes only take effect if I clear browser cache after, but I have to do this every time I make a change which I didn’t have to do this before. When I use Advanced Styling it is not showing any changes though, even after clearing browser cache? Again, this used to work instantly.
Enfold team – do you know why this is happening? Is this an issue with the latest release? Can it be fixed?
October 17, 2018 at 4:20 am #1022512Hi initiatecreate,
Did you try the suggestions I posted above? If they don’t work then please open a new thread and include admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look at your site.

RikardOctober 17, 2018 at 10:43 am #1022675HI Rikard,
I am not using a caching/minification plugin.I’m not sure what you mean by regenerate files under Enfold->Performance? I can not see an option to “regenerate files”?
Clearing browser cache and reloading the page works for quick CSS but I have to clear cache every time I make a change which previously I only had to reload page.
Clearing browser cache and reloading the page is not working for advanced styling which is what this thread is about.
Thanks
October 18, 2018 at 5:05 am #1023125Hi,
Thanks for the update. Where can we see and reproduce the problem?
Please note that we obviously can’t do anything about local cache in your individual browser.

RikardOctober 31, 2018 at 8:23 am #1028386I am using Firefox and have to refresh twice on every change, it works so far. After a while, keep clearing the cache and this setup has been working for me right now. Just want to share. It is not convenient to share the login and password of your website easily, so you will not get too many participants with that type of troubleshooting.

Thanks for the login details. Could you give an example of what is not working please? I had a look at your site but it’s basically empty.

RikardJune 5, 2020 at 11:59 am #1219760Hello
thanks for the quick communication with me.so you’re right, I moved the site to new hosting with hoping that this is a problem with my settings
but still changes on the site are very slowAs an example:
if I make changes to the style.css file I don’t see any changes.
Changes appear after I add my settings to Advanced Styling (save it)
then delete these settings and save them again.
Do you know how to resolve this issue with quick applying changes in styles to the website without hard-refreshing or without simulation adding/removing Advanced Styling?Also, I need help with customizing the style
As an example
I want to be able to add to the style
font-weight: 500;
in the font family: Roboto;
I added it in a Quick CSS
@import url (‘https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:500’);
But it didn’t help

Can you help me with it?Thank you
June 6, 2020 at 1:54 pm #1220042Hi Yuriy_Stakh,
Thanks for the update. I added this CSS to your style.css file and it applied straight away:
div { border: 1px solid red; }
Are you sure that you are not getting locally cached results? You can check that by using an incognito/private window in your browser. I checked the setting you have under Enfold->Advanced Styling as well, and they seem to correspond with what I’m seeing on the front end of your site. Please give an example of what is not working if you should need any further help.

RikardJune 9, 2020 at 10:20 am #1220810I changed (merge CSS files and compress – disable) – it works
Do you have a solution for ?
font-weight: 500;
in the font family: Roboto;Thank you
June 10, 2020 at 7:15 am #1221070Hi Yuriy_Stakh,
Thanks for the update. I’m not sure what you mean by the Roboto styling though, do you mean that you want to use that font? If so then you can set that under Enfold->General Styling->Fonts. The 500 weight is default so you would likely not have to style that any further.
Best regards,
RikardJune 10, 2020 at 2:32 pm #1221207Thanks it works
