GuestHi there,
Unfortunately we had to switch our core developer and we want to update our Enfold theme. How can I get the update just with the API key?
Kind Regards,

Thanks for contacting us!
You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-registration and insert your username and API key to receive updates.
If you still do not receive updates after inserting your username and API key, please try a WordPress transients cleaner plugin if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key in the theme settings is correct under Enfold > Theme Update.
If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually via FTP.
Unfortunately, not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto-update feature provided by ThemeForest.

September 25, 2018 at 11:03 am #1014129Hi,
Thanks for the update and sorry for the problem, I see that you are running an old version of theme. Some files have moved between the version you are running and the current one so you will have to delete the theme before uploading the new version. Please activate another theme, delete Enfold, then upload the new version of Enfold and activate it. It should work as expected after that.
Don’t forget to keep proper backups of the site in case you should have problems during the update.
Best regards,

GuestOk. But how can I get the update? I don’t have the envato-login from the old developer and he doesn’t provide me that information (sorry, it’s a bit complicated)
September 26, 2018 at 5:07 am #1014525Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, that is a bit of a complicated situation yes. Is there no way you would be able to get the Themeforest/Envato login details from the developer? Themeforest is the only official location you can download the theme since they handle all sales related matters for us. Maybe it would be a good idea to purchase your own license so that you know that you always will have access to it? I know it’s not money you want to spend, but if you can’t get the login details from the developer, then I think it’s necessary since situations like these will likely arise again if you don’t.
Best regards,
Rikard -
