Hi All, I am please looking for help with a few things that have gone wrong with my website. Today my menu disappeared with only a blog heading remaining (I have since re-added all the headings/pages back into the menu), my slide shows disappeared (off my home page and contact page) and the spacing and formatting on my site is not right; with my home page being affected the worst. I have cleared the caches and also deactivated and re-actiavted all plug-ins. Any help or guidance is very much appreciated. Thanks Belinda
I have been in touch with out host provider who advised me to get in touch with the WordPress forum who have suggested I get in touch with our theme provider, thanks Belinda
Hi,
You are running a very old version of theme which is not compatible with the latest versions of WordPress. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.4.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Please note that you might have to delete the old version before you upload the new one in order for it to install properly. Also make sure to keep proper backups of your site in case you should need to roll back.

RikardThanks Rikard, I have yesterday carried out a full site backup on the c-panel, would that be adequate or is there a WordPress backup that would be better.

Hi Belinda,
I’m not sure to be honest, but as long as you have the database backed up then you should be fine. You could try exporting the site to a local file using this plugin as well if you want to have an extra backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

I have updated the theme, de-activated and activated the plugins and cleared the cache and still have all the same problems;
Formatting and spacing across all pages is not correct
Slideshow on ‘Home page’ and ‘Contact page’ has disappeared / not showing (Nextgen slide show on ‘Termites page’ is working)
Contact forns are not showing / disappeared from the ‘Get a Free Quote Page’ & ‘Survey Page’Please can you advise

Thanks for that, let’s start with the front page. I edited the page and the Enfold Layout Builder was not active, after activating it the formatting seems a lot better. As for the slider, the images in the slider don’t seem to exist. Could you try to add them again to see if that helps please?

When I go to add image it brings up my gallery with files but you cannot see the picture of each image, please can you have a look and see if there is another setting for the gallery that needs to be updated, perhaps that’s why the images have disappeared from the slideshow?

Hi,
The Media > Library looks empty or the images are not being read properly. Did you move the site to a different host? Please try to deactivate the plugins temporarily.

I have not changed my host provider. I have de-activated all plugins.

My slideshows on my home page and contact page are not working, I was asked by one if the moderators to add back in the pictures however none of the images are showing in the gallery – but there are images on other pages – as requested I de-activated all my plugins and advised I have not changed my host.
Also my contact forms are not working in the Get A Free Quote and Survey Pages.
I have also given access to my word press admin.
Please can you review and advise

I have been in touch with hostgator and they have now updated the php to 5.6.3, it should be on the correct version

I have taken a look and found your contact forms 7 plugin on the Get A Free Quote and Survey Pages, has no form, this is why they don’t show. Please create the forms. Please see the screenshot in Private Content area. Also as, you pointed out earlier, your images are not showing correctly in your media library, so they are not showing in your sliders.I found that all of your images have a url that starts with “http” but your site has “https” enabled, I tested with the plugin “Better search & replace” and it found 156 links that could be changed to “https”.
I believe that if we do this it will fix the images in your media library so they will show on your site. But I recommend making a backup of your database first. Does your cPanel offer a full backup option including the database? If so please make a backup and try running the plugin as in the second screenshot in the Private Content area.Best regards,
MikeHi Mike I did that hoverever all the images on my site went blank so I re-stored the back and they are now re-appearing, before restoring the backup I checked in the media gallery and all the thumb nails were still blank. I have uploadef a new image and that is appearing fine in the gallery please advise thanks Regards Belinda
Just to add I have not updated/re-created the contact forms as the sliders stopped working, contact forms disappeared and thumbnails went blank all at the same time so just want to check the issues are all not connected to a common problem before re-doing the contact forms

Did all of these stop working when you changed to SSL “https” ?
I tried uploading one of your images, and it now shows correctly in the media library. Your home slider is running right now, but it thinks it doesn’t have any images. If you re-added the images into the slider it would show.
I thought we could fix the urls in your media library and then all of your images would show, but as you have tried that and it didn’t work, perhaps re-uploading the images would be a solution?Best regards,
