Hello, I just purchased this theme about a week ago. I had installed it and it was giving me all kinds of problems with taking forever for something to update or not taking the text so i would have to keep clearing the cache to get it to accept. Now, I went through the whole thing with my hosting provider and we decided to empty the whole site and reinstall WordPress just to have a fresh version and see if the theme would load. IT DOES NOT.. it keeps saying there is a problem with the zip file. Could my download be corrupted? As it won’t load and i am having a dilly of a time and need this asap . No phone number to call to have someone check and I am new to this so all help would be appreciated. THe tech at the hosting co also was walking me through uploading the theme and it wouldnt do it. She thinks it is a theme problem. We increased the amount of space to upload with to 128M and that did not help. When we did have the theme installed I kept getting the White screen for death. That is why we uninstalled everything and started fresh.. HELP
August 10, 2017 at 9:10 pm #837146Probably you have loaded from Envato the whole package (themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme.zip) – and not the installable zip file. (it contains the documentation, the psd files Licensing Informatin etc. and the installable zip file )
So you don’t have the need to download the other file – unzip that bigger file.
it contains again a zip file called enfold.zip this is the file you can upload as installable file. But my advise is to make it via ftp – but both should work now !
August 10, 2017 at 9:24 pm #837149When I down loaded, I made sure to only down load the version that says Installable Worpress File Only.. It then down loads the following file into my computer “themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress-theme (1).zip” . WHen I go into that file, there is not a enfold.zip folder in it.. But there are a ton of other folders.
I looked but no enfold.zip file inside of this folder
August 10, 2017 at 10:13 pm #837173ok than you have the right file – unzip it – a folder “enfold” was created with ( as you say tons of files and folders) – try to install it via ftp – upload the enfold folder to wordpress/wp-content/themes/
August 10, 2017 at 10:20 pm #837177Got it.. Thanks. I used the hosting provider’s file manager and uploaded it that way.. It still was not uploading using the WordPress theme uploader.. weird, but, computers are strange birds.. much like the people who work on them.. LOL . thanks again
