Hi I have two problems with the videos on my site dmc-distribuzione.it
In the full width easy slider (visible on desktop) the video is silent but starts automatically, in the video element (visible on mobile) it is silent and does not start at all. Can you please help me? Thanks GianlucaSeptember 30, 2021 at 4:10 am #1322899Hey sitibus,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Where can we see the videos? Please post the site URL in the private field so that we can check the issue. Did you enable the privacy or cookie options? It is possible that the privacy option is blocking the video. You may need to allow it manually by toggling the privacy options from the privacy modal popup window.

IsmaelOctober 15, 2021 at 9:10 am #1325058You can see the video in home page of https://www.dmc-italia-television.it/.
I creatd admin access for you, posted in the private content.
Thanks in advance, GianlucaOctober 16, 2021 at 2:58 am #1325186Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We forgot to mention that background or slider videos are disabled on mobile devices by default, so you have to add a fallback image. The fallback image will display on mobile view instead of the video.

I await your kind reply thanksOctober 18, 2021 at 5:34 am #1325351Hi,
Thank you for the info.
We didn’t notice that you set up the page to display an actual video element on mobile view. Please note that videos that are NOT muted are NOT allowed to play automatically regardless of the device where they are being viewed. This is a browser policy.
// https://developer.chrome.com/blog/autoplay/
Chrome’s autoplay policies are simple:
Muted autoplay is always allowed.
Autoplay with sound is allowed if:
The user has interacted with the domain (click, tap, etc.).
On desktop, the user’s Media Engagement Index threshold has been crossed, meaning the user has previously played video with sound.
The user has added the site to their home screen on mobile or installed the PWA on desktop.
Top frames can delegate autoplay permission to their iframes to allow autoplay with sound. You have to mute the video or disable the audio to make it ensure that it plays automatically on mobile view. Also, please note that some mobile devices or browsers do not allow autoplay even when the video is muted.
Best regards,
Ismael -
