I am having some problems undestanding how the new privacy settings work regarding videos.
I have activated the privacy settings from the “Privacy and Cookies” tab. Now the user can opt-out of youtube videos.
He is presented with the cookie concent where he can opt-out but then even if he does the youtube video is still loaded.
I have found in the advanced editor the option to load video only after user clicks but that works only if I edit all the old posts and only with the advanced editor that in a blog post disables the aditional info (title, comments, related posts …). Also this has no connection with the user options.
Is there a tutorial or a detailed explanatin of how thinks work? because I am a little confused.
Here, my video is not loading after opt-out of youtube videos. One thing to know: you have to refresh the page otherwise the site is still loading the video. Just a thought. I am not shure if it is complient to have a link to Youtube from your Website without letting the user know that he opens an external Website (via Link).
Hi,
You can do that by either adding a tool-tip that lets the user that it is something like an outgoing link – or a page that let the users know they are directed outside the main web site.
