Hi,
I’ve recently been in touch with Yoast SEO over a redirect issue in the Woo Commerce products. Apparently this issue stems from the Enfold theme (according to them). Here’s my original message to them:

Hi Yoast Support,
For some reason the Yoast SEO Plugin seems to be creating loop redirects that allow pages not to be opened. It’s doing this on Woo Commerce project pages (specifically that I know of). Go here: http://staging.expresswriters.com/content-shop/ and try to click on and go to “Client Interview”. You’ll see the issue occur. If I delete the product (temporarily throw it in trash), it will pick the next product which is “Stock Images”, and repeat the same redirect loop issue.
I noticed if I completely disable the Yoast plugin, all issues stop. Previously, before I troubleshooted it and disabled the plug-in, I first looked at the redirects section which showed multiple redirects that I never created. It’s almost like a plug-in auto generated redirecting rules. I deleted them, but the issue still persists.

Here’s what they told me:

Hi Josh,
A recent bug report was filed with conflicts when running Enfold themes with WooCommerce and our plugin. The developers are investigating the issue. Another user received a response from Enfold with a workaround here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/conflict-with-enfold-and-seo-yeast-woo-commerce/
Kind regards,

JoshAugust 24, 2014 at 9:02 am #308406Hey j1980mac!
No, it’s not a theme issue/conflict. I switched to the Twentythirteen theme (standard wordpress theme – you can switch the theme here: http://staging.expresswriters.com/wp-admin/themes.php ) and this page: http://staging.expresswriters.com/product/interview/ still showed the “redirection” error. Probably another plugin, maybe WooCommerce, conflicts with the Yoast plugin. The last Yoast plugin update really messed things up…

August 25, 2014 at 7:53 am #308661Hey!
Maybe but in this case I’m pretty sure it’s not a theme conflict. Otherwise I couldn’t reproduce it with the standard wordpress theme :)
Best regards,
