Dear support members, I’ve noticed an error in the ALB’s “Plugin Additions””. We had the same error in the past …

In a shop (WooCommerce), I use the “Product Meta Info” element on the product pages. However, since version 7.x, the word “Category:” or “Categories:” is always in English and not in my language. The string in the theme is translated, but it seems to me that the word is simply hard-coded in English. As I said, this already happened some time ago.

Could you please look into this? It’s kind of annoying. Thank you!

    All the best,
    Daniel

    Hey Daniel,

Sorry for the late reply. Are you using a multi lingual plugin? If so, which one?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks for your feedback. I currently have this problem on two different pages. I have updated both to the latest versions of everything. One has ‘Loco Translate’ installed, the other does not. Both show the word “Categories:” in English in the element, not in German (as discribed in my initial post). So it can’t be the multi lingual plugin. As I said, there was a similar error in the past, where the string in the theme could not be translated …

Any idea on how to solve that?

    Kind regards,
    Daniel

    Hi,

Thanks for the update and clarification. I can reproduce the problem on my end as well, so it’s likely a problem in the theme. I’ve notified our developers about this, and we’ll hopefully have a fix for this in the next version of the theme.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi! I’m glad to hear that. How long do you think it will take for the fix to be released? And it would be great if the problem would not reappear. As I said, this is now the second time it has happened in exactly the same place. As far as I know.

    Hi,

I can’t say when the next release will be available unfortunately, but we’ll keep you posted here for a possible solution.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

do you think the update with the fix will be rolled out until the end of the year or even sooner?

    Kind regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

I translated the “Category” and “Categories” strings in Enfold using the Loco Translate plugin, but I cannot reproduce the issue on my end.

Could you please send us a link to your site and temporary admin login credentials so we can investigate the issue?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Hi Yigit, on November 10 we already sorted the issue. Now I am just waiting for the next update (see posts of Rikard).

    Hi,

I tried this once again with the German language, but it still works for me. I shared a link to the screen recording in the private content field.

Please make sure you are editing the same German version language file as the one you set in the WordPress settings ( see https://imgur.com/a/zqgjJeX ).

If that doesn’t work, please replicate the issue on a site and send us temporary admin login credentials so we can investigate further.

    Regards,
    Yigit

Hi Yigit, that is exactly what I tried on one installation with LocoTranslate installed but it did not work. Now I tried it again and the translation is correct. No clue why but thanks!

The error in the installation without LocoTranslate persists. It was correctly translated in the last version.

    Hey Daniel,

    Great! Thanks for the update.

The translation for these strings was missing in Enfold. We’ll add it in the upcoming version.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,
    Yigit

Hi Yigit, that is exactly what I am waiting for (see post #1491131). Thank you! Do you think the update with the translation will be rolled out until the end of the year or even sooner?

    Hi,

We’re planning to release the next version in the first week of December.

    Regards,
    Yigit
