    Hi,
    I’ve created a landing page in English and set up WPML plugin to translate to Japanese. When I set the page as “home page” in Enfold Settings and in Dashboard>Appearance>Customize the home page will not translate into Japanese when toggled. When I set a different page as a home page the landing page I created translates fine. Is this an issue with Enfold settings that I’m not seeing?

    Hey mattb1169,

    Customizer is not in usage on Enflod.
    To edit the page you can only use the Editing option under pages.
    Then if you want to add the page as main page, you need to go through Dashboard -> Reading

    Thanks Basilis,
    I’m not sure I understand your comments. The page was drafted, translated and saved. It functions when not set to be the homepage. I would like to have the translate feature work when the landing page we created and translated is set as our homepage.

    Thank you Victoria. The strange part is that I have set the homepage correctly in the settings tab and still can’t get it to render in Japanese when I toggle the language selector.

    Yes. When I type in the domain and add /?lang=ja the translated page shows up. So it appears we did the translation correctly. When going to the homepage (without adding /?lang=ja) then clicking the “this post is also available in: Japanese” link the page reloads in English. It is not going to the Japanese translation. Is this a conflict with Enfold or a setting I am missing?

    Hi,

    All the pages in the site are drafts and they’re not translated yet. Please publish the home page, set it as frontpage in theme options panel then translate or duplicate it to Japanese. In the Japanese theme options, set the translated page as frontpage as well.

    Hi,
    The landing page is published. The pages you are seeing as drafts are not developed yet and do not need to be live at this time. I have taken all the steps you outline. The landing page translates perfectly when NOT set as the home page. Can you help with this issue?
