    Hi,

    I use an Enfold child theme and WPML. I updated Enfold to v3.8 and some of my WPML settings aren’t working anymore. I changed the /config-wpml/config.php file and after the update this file is renewed.
    So… in child theme folder /enfold-child i made a folder /config-wpml and copied the 3 files (config.php, wpm-mod.css and FacebookLocales.xml) to the chip theme folder and delete the originals.
    After this the site is not working anymore.
    Can you provide me with the best practice to use WPML with a child theme?

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    I’m sorry but you can’t override the W P M L configuration in the child theme. Please restore the parent theme files. What are the modifications that you’re trying to do?

    Hi Ismael,

    I changed the code to get country code (NL / EN) instead of flags.
    Or is there a better way to accomplish this?

    Hi Freek,

    I’m not sure exactly what you did but if your solution works I would go with that. If you need any further then please try explaining a bit further what you did and what is not working.
