Tagged: WPML translation
Hi,
the WPML translation feature has changed. Before we clicked on a language in the “Translate this document” section and got a new page in the desired language with the Avia Layout Builder. Now the interface has changed completely, see screenshots. We have also tried to add translated text, but it is not applied.
The loading icon appears next to the language but just keeps loading without any change.
Can you please take a look,
thanks,
Julia
Hey Yoolia,
I created a private testing page in English and tried translating it to French and it worked fine. Please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-translate-pages-built-with-enfold-using-wpml/ :)
Best regards,

Hello Yigit and all,
I am working on a bilingual site right now, and using both Enfold and WPML.
Before I go through all the trouble of translating all defaults to French (for example, on blog pages, things like “Recent Posts, Leave a Reply, Post a Comment”, etc., I was wondering if anyone had a translated version I can somehow import into my theme (if this is even doable).
I have google it here and on WPML without much success, and it seems it would be crazy for each person needing a French version to make their own.
I am assuming there must be the equivalent of “localization” or such, to just have the defaults into a second language, no?
All advice and pointer much appreciated!
PS. The video link above is ace!
Hi,
The strings and text (e.g “Recent Posts, Leave a Reply, Post a Comment etc”) should be translated automatically if you’re using the W P M L plugin as long as the translations are included in the wp-content > themes > lang > fr_FR.po language files. If there are missing translations, just install the following plugin.
// https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
