I have several languages – with a blog and a gallery page in each language. The idea is just to use the content from the English version on the language versions of those pages.
However, after I have set up the pages in each language – if I then update the English blog, none of these changes are mirrored in the other languages, so I effectively would have to go round and individually update the content in each language.
I am sure I am doing something wrong, but maybe I am not an maybe that is just a limitation of wpml..but if you get what I am trying to do and know of a correct way to do it that would be great!
I had a similar issue previously on the site – galleries copy over using WMPL to the new langauge, but if you try to edit the gallery it loses all the picture information and I have to start from scratch adding items every time – I have done this manually where necessary on the site with smaller instances, but with something like the main image gallery this s just not feasible..and to me it seems like somethinng is not working properly or set up properly

thanks for getting back to me. To be honest WPML is a bit of a mess…nothing works properly…
is this issue something I should take up with them, it’s not really Enfold that is causing the issues here is it?

I have problems recreating galleries where it says the content is there in the other language but as soon as you try and edit the gallery in a new language it loses all the information and I have to add all the items again. For the occasional bits of pieces this is fine but across 5 languages this is not going to work.
I try duplicating everything but this does not solve the problem and now my site is now junked up with unnecessary duplicates.

make sure you’re using newest theme and plugin versions. Let’s wait for any response of WPML. Send us admin access, if you need further assistance.

updating everything fixed the problem of the missing gallery items thanks
however 2 things…
if I add an image to the UK gallery it stil does not automatically update the other languages – should it? is it possible?
and also, I have now created the German gallery page 3 times and it REFUSES to show an more than 3 images – even though when you edit the page it shows all of the images in the Gallery..it is very frustrating

In the end I had to press the WPML Duplicate media button…again…
my website is now completely crapped up with duplicate media that I can never remove because it will screw something up somewhere
this was my first and last project with WPML. it is a mess.
fortunately this whole thing coincides with my decision after 20 years or so to stop building crappy websites for boring people and go do something more interesting with my life :)

please stick to one question/issue only in one ticket. Otherwise it gets very confusing.
Good decision to do something else with your life which interests you more. What are you thinking about? I’m thinking about doing the same.
WPML is quite complicated, but if you learn it once, then it’s a quite powerful tool. I suggest to reach out to WPML support for questions about it. They know their plugin best.Best regards,
