Hello, I have updated a dev site of ours to Enfold version 4.7.6.4 from 4.7.6.1 however I have noticed that the WMPL language switcher (within the menu) is missing from all default language pages, yet still appeared on alternate language pages.

I tried to resolve this by removing the language switcher from the menu (in WPML settings) and re-adding it, but I’m now not able to add it back. When I try to select a menu to append the switcher it to, nothing happens.

    Is this a known issue?

    Hey sspmarketing,

No, I have not seen this issue before.

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The language switcher is not displaying because in the WPML > Languages > Menu language switcher panel, the selected menu was the “Top menu” instead of the actual default menu which is the “Menu 1”. We adjusted the settings accordingly.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Hi Ismael, I fixed this issue last night. which is why you can see the Top menu for the Language Switcher. I believe the issue to be a WPML bug, rather than an Enfold one. After deleting the existing About menu, I created a new ‘Top menu’ to replace it, which I was then able to add the language switcher to. Prior to that, I was unable to select any menu to add the switcher to.

Thank you for looking into this – glad it’s all sorted now.

Hi Ismael, I’ve just attempted to switch the language switcher back to ‘Top menu’ from ‘Menu 1’ (We have it in the menu at the very top of the page, rather than the main menu), however, I’m now having the same issue I had before, where I’m unable to change it. Is this likely something I need to contact WPML about?

EDIT: Things appear to be working fine now. Thanks!
