    Dear Kriesi team,
we have installed the latest version of WPML onto our website (pretty fresh setup) and now have some design issues after creating any new post/page/portfolio entry translation entry.
To “fix”, we have to enter the Advanced Editor of that item and save it again – so the enfold advanced editor does something to “repair”.
When comparing the before/after save source code, it appears that WPML adds another main content element that is removed again when the enfold editor saves the entry.

How could we fix this behavior? WPML Multilingual CMS 4.5.2
    Enfold 4.8.8.1

    Best regards,
    Florian

    Hey Benedikt,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Are you cloning the posts, or just using the default translation editor? When using the Advance Layout Builder, we recommend using the translation editor instead of cloning to keep the builder layout. Please check this documentation for more info on how to properly translate pages or posts when using the builder.

    Hello Ismael,
thank you for your message. Yes, we did exactly proceed as you described. We did use the translation editor, we did not simply clone the page. You still have to re-enter the enfold advanced editor and update the page to “fix” the layout.
    Best regards,
    Florian

    Hi,

We are not able to reproduce the issue when we created a test page and translated it using the default translation editor (see private field). The layout of the translate page is the same as the original page. We also provide a screenshot of the translation editor.

Please make sure to edit the translated page using the translation editor only and make sure should not to change its content using the actual builder. Once the translated page has been modified using the builder, it will be out of sync with the original page, so from then on, each page will have to be edited manually.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
