    Hi,
    I want a staging site. So I’ve installed the WP Staging plugin. https://wp-staging.com. The free version, not Pro.

    However, the popular plugin does not work at all on my site. Instead of allowing me to clone the live site to a staging site, it immediately turns the live site into a staging site when I activate the plugin. This means that the live site is now offline. I have to deactivate the WP Staging plugin to get my site live again.

    In all fairness, the plugin states that it has not been tested with my version of WordPress.
    I’m using 5.3–nb_NO, Enfold 4.6.3.1 and Enfold Child.

    But, I have run into this issue on previous versions as well.

    Do you know if WP Staging is working with a child theme? Could that be the issue?

    I tested the plugin on another site that I have. That site is using DIVI, no child theme, and is not updated to 5.3. In that instance WP Staging works great.

    Perhaps it is possible to downgrade from 5.3 to 5.2 in order to test the site with Enfold?

    Hey Jan,

    We haven’t tested that plugin with Enfold, but there are plenty of alternatives out there if you are looking to clone your site to a staging site. Here’s one for example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/
