    I already updated the Theme and have the same problem

    Meaning, I still can’t update the WP plugins or WP itself

    Hi!

    Please try to deactivate all plugins – maybe one or more plugins are incompatible with WP4.0.

    Thanks Peter………..that solved it……..not sure what plugin was the guilty party just yet but nevertheless the update to WP4.0 was successful after deactivating all the plugins
