I had not noticed this until today. I had set up a Page quite awhile ago and it was working properly in Enfold.
http://fritzimages.com/blog/instructors/I went to the page to do some basic Page editing and the WP SEO plugin 1.5.5.3 meta data description field no longer had the original content, the page slug was not the same as the permatlink, the permalink had changed and redirected, and other fields used in WP SEO had auto populated with non-original content.
Upon investigating I found that I was using Enfold ->Content Element ->Blog Post. setting: Display entries from a custom taxonomy/.
From what I can see, the last post blog in that custom taxonomy has been force loaded into the page, auto populating and over riding my original content.
I also check my home page where I also use BLOG post, and it unfortunately is also toast. All original content , meta description of my site for SEO, gone and rewritten with an recent equipment post.
I assume you now about this issue as WP SEO has over 12M installs, so I guess others have the issue
Do you know what is going on ?
Is there a fix from Enfold ?
Have you notified Yoast ?
If so does he have a planned fix ?Just so you know, this problem really dented my site, its SEO and recent campaign because of a redirect issue now going to archives instead of the page.
Any quick help or response, would be greatly appreciated. I also may fall back to a prior WP SEO version if I can find it, or contact Yoast myself.
Thanks !

Redo the SEO before updating of page and SEO will be taken into account. Must be repeated before each edition pending a fix to come.
August 23, 2014 at 10:25 am #308210Hey!
I posted a temporary fix here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/conflict-with-enfold-and-seo-yeast-woo-commerce/#post-307331 – just insert the code into the child theme functions.php or enfold/functions.php. I first thought it’s a conflict between woocommerce and yoast seo but in fact it seems to be a bug in the wp seo plugin because any query (blog post query, woocommerce product query, etc) breaks the “seo analysis” function. Older yoast seo versions worked just fine with WooCommerce or blog queries and we didn’t change our theme code and hopefully the yoast team will fix this bug with the next update.
Best regards,
PeterAugust 23, 2014 at 3:55 pm #308246This patch is not working for me….
I have followed the instructions provided like this.
1) add patch/fix to functions
2) open Page to edit
3) redo edits to Yoast SEO
4) update Page edits
5) Edits are not ‘taking’ the Page is still autoloading Yoast SEO info from other blog post.Ed
August 23, 2014 at 5:18 pm #308252I am wondering ? Have you contacted Yoast to advise him of this issue ?
Did he give you any timeline for a new release ?You realize this is a MASSIVE bug. I have dozens of pages with content using your Blog post and the metainfo appears to all be autoloading from other blog posts ! This is not good !
My Home page description is totally inaccurate and I can’t revert back to the proper description…..
http://prntscr.com/4fnttkdescription should read:
FritzImages is focused on exploring creative outdoor photography at various Northeast travel locations, reviewing gear and providing a resource of experiences and information to like minded photographers.
Please help ! I need a patch that works…
August 23, 2014 at 6:51 pm #308267I contacted Yoast and their support team and engineers are aware of and are working on resolving the conflict with WP-SEO and Enfold.
For the moment, I’d recommend that Enfold make an announcement on their home page and advise that customers that who have installed wp-seo 1.5.5.3 fall back to version of WP-Seo 1.5.5 that can be found on https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/releases.
The process to fall back is easy.
1) download 1.5.5
2) In WP I’d recommend an export of your WP-SEO settings in 1.5.5.3 (just in case)
3) Upload via FTP v 1.5.5 into plugin folder
4) In WordPress Deactivate Version 1.5.5.3
5) In WordPress Activate version 1.5.5
6) Goto pages that you are using Enfold ‘Blog Content’ and dbl check that they have proper SEO meta description content and not imported content that comes from the ‘bug’. Rewrite Yoast SEO metadescription, keyword, permalinks, slugs as needed. This bug is a bad one, you may need to really clean up your page.
7) Resubmit page link to Google webmaster tools/Fetch as Google. Your pages that have been corrupted by this bug, your SEO is incorrect, and you have to be re-crawled, after you have updated step#6Hope that Helps
August 24, 2014 at 9:13 am #308409Hey!
Glad the Yoast developer team looks into the issue. It’s probably the best solution to downgrade to 1.5.5 until we know what code causes the conflict. The update also seems to trigger some other conflicts with WooCommerce: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/yoast-seo-plugin-redirect-loop-conflict/ (redirection errors, etc.).
Cheers!
PeterAugust 24, 2014 at 1:55 pm #308439I was also getting the redirection errors…only with your ‘blog content’, masonry did npot have any issue.
When using 1.5.5.3 you could actually see your post auto populate with the last post in the series meta description, slug, and could watch it change the permalinks. Which because I have another plugin for redirects would autolaunch an alert saying that your permalink was redirecting.
The minute you deactivated 1.5.3.3 this would stop happening.
Are you going to put up an announcement on your service support header to advise your customers. This is a bad bug which can cause SEO damage, you can loose your meta description (I did),,,on your post.
For all the reasons on my prior thread I think its the socially responsible thing to do…..I’m glad I caught it on my own before it could do any more havoc.
The Yoast fix is not going to be released soon. They refunded my premium seo-wp, because they had no eta…
