    Hi,

    I am using the enfold theme since long time in Germany but since I am in China I have big problems with the speed of my page, especially with the admin panel and especially when I am using the enfold theme. With standard themes it is working slower but OK.

    I tried on different servers, on an internal server and even on my own PC it is working slow!?!? The only possibility to speed it up is to activate my VPN client to the western world.

    I know it is a very special case. Is somebody able to help?

    Hi Klaus-Jürgen!

    The best way to speed up a WordPress site is to install a caching plugin such as W3 cache or WP Supercache. Other than that it’s most likely the speed of your connection or your server. I would try contacting your hosting provider and let them know about this.

    Hi Elliott,

    sorry for the late answer. We tried a lot things. Finally after a new installation on another server and the installation of the WB super cache plugin it seems ok. The speed is not very fast but not too bad. Still it is not as fast as in Germany. We keep on working and trying the optimize the configuation of the server.

    One thing I would like to ask. I heard that there can be a problem with the Google fonts since wordpress is linking to google which is difficult to access in China. Do you have information about this and/or is there a workaround for it?
