    Hi,
    I have set up a WordPress website using the Enfold theme. I now want to train others in how to update the site. I set another user up as Editor and found that they could not access any of the Enfold functionality. It seems that only I, as Administrator, can do this. Is this correct or am I missing something? Is the Administrator role the only one that can access Enfold?

    Hi Philip,

    That is correct, Editors cannot access the theme options. https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#Editor

    Thank you for the reply.
    That’s disappointing because that means without the Administrator role permissions it is not possible to use the Advanced Layout Editor and Avia Layout Builder. In other words the only role worth creating for others to help in the running of the site is Administrator. There is effectively no hierarchy available to limit the capabilities available for less experienced users.

    Hi Philip,

    Please read what I wrote again:

    Editors cannot access the theme options.

    They can still access the builder when creating/editing a post/page. You could easily find this out yourself by adding a user with the role of Editor.

    Hi Rikard,
    It was AFTER creating an Editor user that I made my original post! When the editor user is logged in the Advanced Layout Builder selection button is NOT available on our implementation of WordPress with the Enfold Theme. WordPress 4.5.2 and Enfold 3.5.4.

    Thanks for the information. I’ll implement the Plug-In. I guess I should haver said Enfold CHILD rather than just Enfold.
