I have 4.8.4 (latest) version of the theme. When I upgraded to WordPress 5.8, my color section no longer showed the custom color (plain or horizontal blend). It just showed white. As a workaround, I added an image. I have colored images all over my other sites that I develop with Enfold–but I won’t upgrade any of them to WordPress 5.8 until this is fixed.

http://www.chanimal.com – the home page shows a background image of a mountain behind the text, “Micro Consulting” (about 1/3rd down the page). It used to have a colored background, which turned to white and the text disappeared after upgrading to WordPress 5.8.

BTW – this appears to be intermittent. The same combination of background (with a gradient) is on https://chanimal.com/channel-consulting/ (where the micro consulting title is). This is what the home page image looked like before–but it won’t work if I set it up the same way. I refreshed several times without a problem. Interesting…

Another problem with the colors (same config as above). The Accordion is having a similar problem holding the colors within the settings. See the FAQ on my site that uses the accordion on the bottom of this page: https://chanimal.com/certified-channel-manager/

When you highlight the FAQ, the Custom Hover Background Color is not working. It stays the same color and the Hover Font Color changes to white, but the background does not change to the dark chocolate color. I left the mistake (vs trying to correct it) so you can see what is happening.

Here is similar FAQ section on the sister site that has NOT been updated (uses WordPress 5.7.2 and 4.8.3 of the Enfold theme) : https://chanimaluniversity.com/#toggle-id-2 (see the FAQ in the middle of the page). This is how it should look.

Below are the settings at the Chanimal site:
    Custom Hover Background Color
Select a custom hover background color. Leave empty to use the default
Color value: #594e4a (but the custom background goes to white instead)

    Custom Hover Font Color
Select a custom hover font color. Leave empty to use the default
    Color value Default (white)

I second this, I have the same issue. Color sections are just white, changing the color doesn’t do anything.

    Hi tedfinch,

Sorry for the problem. Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. Also make sure that the Appearance->Editor functionality is active on your installation. If it’s not, then please include FTP login details as well, and verify that you have backups of your site.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

The accordion FAQ on the bottom of this page: https://chanimal.com/certified-channel-manager/#toggle-id-9
The text goes to white when you hover over it. The text STAYS white once you are on the tab. This is NOT how it was setup. It uses colors and none of them are working.

In addition, when you click the according to close it or click any other of the according selections, it jumps to the top of the entire page (I used to just open the next accordian).

This happened with the latest WordPress 5.8 and Enfold 4.8.4 (used currently). I just staged the site and tried it with the 4.8.6 update hoping the accordian error was fixed. It is not fixed with the latest version.

    Hi Ted,

The latest version of the theme should fix the problems you are having. I saw that you had some concerns about a fix in another thread though, so we can upload the theme manually for you in a separate folder. If you would like us to do that, then please include FTP login details in private as well.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

The latest 4.8.6 did not fix the accordion problem. I was using the following settings:

    Styling
    – Minimal
    – Define Custom Colors
    – Define custom colors – #fffffff (white)
    – Background color: #222222
    – Define Custom Colors (for Hover) – then I set the colors I wanted
It worked when I originally set it up–but the hover shows white text on a white background (although that is not what was used)
So this error was not fixed with the 4.8.6

    Workaround
    – Instead, I just kicked everything to default. It is now all visible. It doesn’t use the custom colors I selected–but good enough. Problem solved for now… but there was something that changed (around 4.8.4) and broke my custom settings and it is still there–but this is fixed enough for now.

    Thanks

    Hi Ted,

Thanks for the update. I’ve tested the Accordion locally, but I haven’t been able to find any problems in 4.8.6, so it might be something which is cached on your installation. If you want us to check it further for you, then just let us know here. We could create a private test page on your site for example. If you want to continue with what you currently have on your site, then hopefully everything will be solved once you update to the next release of the theme.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
