Hi guys, after updating to wordpress 4.4 all of a sudden my menu editor in Appearance > Menus does not work. Its not a plugin issue as ive not added anything new and everything has been working fine for a while now (incl the menu editor). Literally happened as soon as I updated to 4.4
How do I fix this?
Thanks
December 9, 2015 at 3:06 pm #549733Hey greggashley!
Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately?

December 9, 2015 at 3:20 pm #549748Hi!
Can you please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/?
Cheers!
YigitDecember 9, 2015 at 3:26 pm #549754thats how i did the update in the first place… will try again anyway

December 9, 2015 at 7:51 pm #549941really need to get this fixed asap as its a site im building for a charity, and need to get it done and live asap. If you can help get this resolved it would be really appreciated. Thanks
December 9, 2015 at 8:05 pm #549944The same problem here. WP 4.4 update and Enfold FTp update didn’t help. Thanks for help guys!
December 9, 2015 at 8:21 pm #549948FYI menus are accessible and you can edit if you go to Dashboard and click Customize Your Site > Menus
December 9, 2015 at 8:38 pm #549957The menu system has moved in WP4.4. Go to Appearance>Customise and you will now see the menu item on the left hand side.
December 9, 2015 at 9:12 pm #549964its still in the old place as well (which doesnt work) so that does not seem right.. if it had moved they would have removed it from the original place. Its also been in the customiser for a while, Im not looking for a work around however, I really need it fixed. Thanks
December 10, 2015 at 3:49 pm #550473Any news?? I can’t add any custom css classes etc in customizer view so that is not a viable workaround…
December 10, 2015 at 4:21 pm #550503Please fix this issue asap! Any timeframe, or should i restore from my backup?
Cheers
Henrik
December 10, 2015 at 5:51 pm #550588I’m also getting this error. Can’t access or edit any of my menus.
But a quick Google of “wordpress 4.4 menu” shows that a lot of other users are getting this and not just Enfold users. Perhaps it’s a core issue? Seems like a huge oversight of a bug. :/

December 10, 2015 at 6:24 pm #550608Hey guys, I think it might be Events Calendar related if anyone has that activated.
I used this temp fix until the plugin authors update their code: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/upgrade-breaks-menu-admin
But at least my menu editing works now… hope this helps.
December 10, 2015 at 6:36 pm #550614Hi!
Can you please try switching to one of the default themes and check if that helps?
@greggashley I deactivated The Events Calendar plugin on your installation and Menus worked fine. Please contact plugin authors.Best regards,

December 10, 2015 at 6:40 pm #550616Hey! I can reproduce the issue with a few plugins, but they are not related to enfold (the issue occurs with and without enfold enabled, in my case The Events Calendar is causing the issue)
If you disable our theme and reload the site and it still does not work it is a plugin issue that we probably can’t solve. If it works after disabling Enfold please post us your login credentials so we can take a look at the site
Cheers!
KriesiDecember 10, 2015 at 6:48 pm #550620Seems to be an acknowledged events calendar bug: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/modern-tribe-events-calendar-nav-menu-removal?replies=3
