I asked enfold support if there were any issue with 4.2.3 prior to my upgraded to 4.2.3 ( I disabled autoupdate after issues with 4.01. and enfold.) It looks like not to many users are using twenty twenty plugin with Enfold. Also in hind site I should have searched/read what is being reported about this upgrade 4.2.3

if you get any info on this plug in update Please pass it along.

July 25, 2015 at 9:36 am #478612Hey Ed!
I replied to your other thread as well, sorry that the plugin broke your site but it’s difficult for us to keep track of all plugins out there, it’s difficult enough handling a portfolio of themes :-) I hope going back a version will solve your problem and please let us know if we can help you out with any other problems.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 25, 2015 at 5:18 pm #478667I understand,I usually see a flurry of activity and support here if WP upgrade is breaking enfold themes. Since it did not, I felt that an upgrade was okay. It is always taking a chance with WP upgrades. I have some robust instructions for a WP fallback and was able to fall back and will look at wp 4.2.3 in a test environment and see if I can isolate what is causing the problem. I have my suspicions that another plugin is creating the issue and not twenty-twenty .
Thanks for the support, You can close these threads

July 26, 2015 at 5:55 am #478709I’ve not had an issue with plugins but the automatic youtube embed ability of WP plus a lot of other features (Read More Tag, the way it handles returns when typing, etc.) are broken since moving from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3. I’m super frustrated as I’m trying to get a blog post ready for less than 2 days from now!
July 26, 2015 at 12:23 pm #478724Hello Strenghtcoaching,
I was not aware of those WP issues, a lot of folks upset with WP because of the fact that they pushed this release on everyone including developers and hundreds of thousands of WP sites broken worldwide. A hugh PR nightmare for the WP committee. I posted the article on another thread.
The only workaround is falling back to 4.2.2, If you have access to your WP folder via FTP, there is a very good you tube video that goes through how to do this. It seems more difficult than it really is but this is the second time I have had to fallback to a prior WP release and the video instructions are spot on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lX3E-qIpJM Thank goodness you can do that. I would also recommend turning off the auto word press installer. There are posts on the support page that tell you how to do this…..
July 26, 2015 at 8:06 pm #478776Thanks Ed. I’m super scared about messed with WP via FTP. I’d rather deal with the inconvenience of this I think and wait for a fix then potentially cause myself a huge nightmare through a larger mess with my WHOLE site. I’m very tech savvy but dealing with stuff at the root level worries me. I have Updraft Plus backing up every 4 hours so I guess that helps. Just super skiddish about it.
July 26, 2015 at 10:18 pm #478809Hi!
That is an issue many Plugin providers / Theme providers have had to deal with.
Be patience, as it was inside the weeekend, and everything will be fixed out! :-)Regards,
