It seems that the recent WordPress upgrade 4.0 has caused a lot of problems. Pages will no longer load in admin. Tried several browsers and the pages will not load to edit them. Widgets no longer can be edited, drag and drop does not work, the widgets won’t open and you can’t create additional ones anymore since the create button has disappeared.
September 5, 2014 at 8:25 pm #314188After reading MediaMan’s issues I also rolled back wordpress to 3.9.2 and the theme if working ok.
September 5, 2014 at 9:18 pm #314200What is the plan for getting this resolved with WordPress 4.0?
September 6, 2014 at 4:02 am #314304September 6, 2014 at 2:21 pm #314484Theme says I’m on the latest level, so yes?
September 6, 2014 at 2:59 pm #314487I am having the same issue. How do you roll back to 3.9?
September 6, 2014 at 5:01 pm #314512Hi!
The updater tool in the Theme Options may not be accurate or updated, it is always better to upgrade directly via FTP:
Cheers!
JosueSeptember 6, 2014 at 5:17 pm #314515Hello Josue,
I have the same problem, and updated to 4.0 and updated the theme to 2.9.2 via FTP as you mentioned.
I can give some extra hints though, this is the error when I check out my console:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘push’ of undefined [in file] avia-tinymce-buttons-4.js:90
It happens when in advanced editor you want to edit a textblock. The textblock stays white/blank and you can’t edit anything.
It seems that a nullpointer like error in that file is preventing the editor from loading properly.
I tried to debug it myself, but it is pretty intricate so I think you guys should take a look there.
September 6, 2014 at 5:41 pm #314517Hey @Kah0ona!
Just to discard, have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?
Regards,

That happens when the menu doesn’t get imported correctly, go to Appearance > Menus and re-order the current menu or create a new one.
Cheers!

September 6, 2014 at 6:39 pm #314528Hello Josue,
Disabling the plugins resolved it indeed! It turned out to be a conflict with the Bol.com plugin (= Dutch amazon like site).
Thanks for the help.
September 6, 2014 at 6:41 pm #314529Glad to hear that, you are welcome :)
September 6, 2014 at 8:51 pm #314567So, is the template compatible with 4.0?
September 6, 2014 at 8:53 pm #314568Hi @toner728!
Could you please give more details about your problem? have you tried disabling all third-party plugins?
Cheers!
JosueSeptember 6, 2014 at 11:03 pm #314618Hi! I’m new here. I just purchased enfold and tried loading the theme to WP and I get a message that says
“Do you really want to do this?”
than below “Please retry”
I have tried over and over and it is the same message
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!September 6, 2014 at 11:05 pm #314619Hi @mgohn123!
Try disabling all plugins before attempting to activate Enfold, also make sure you are using the latest version of WP (4.0).
Best regards,
JosueSeptember 6, 2014 at 11:12 pm #314620I disabled all plugins and yes it is the latest version. I retried and got the same message.
Thank you
MarciSeptember 6, 2014 at 11:15 pm #314621September 7, 2014 at 3:23 pm #314722@toner728 To go back to my earlier version of WordPress, I had to backup restored files that I had in my WordPress folder from a time before I upgraded to WordPress 4.0.
I’m not great at the backend stuff, but this did work for me. There may be a simpler way to do this.
I have not tried the ftp upgrade of the theme, again, because I’m not great at the backend, but I may try when I have more time.
September 7, 2014 at 9:52 pm #314765Ok so in the backend the issues i’m having is.
When I attempt to edit the homepage, I don’t see anything loading just the little spinning circle that indicates the page is loading.
(the page opens, but usually the spinning loader shows then all the page content appears. the content is not appearing.)Also on the theme options page, I don’t see any of the tabs on the left: eg: theme options, general styling, advanced styling etc.
I havent downloaded any plugins at all just the 4 that come with wp like “askimet, hello dolly and and jetpack. I have them all deactivated. If I hit refresh like 10x sometimes the left tabbed menu will finally appear. I do want to keep my sites up to date, so what is the status of a fix?
