I updated to WordPress 4.0 and installed Enfold 2.9.2 but something appears to be going wrong. A number of warnings appear in my dashboard and the front end of the website loses all of its styling and formatting.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the theme numerous times, both through the dashboard and via FTP. Same issue arises every time.
Please could you take a look at the site and check I’ve not missed anything?

September 12, 2014 at 2:34 am #317724Hi!
Can you try deactivating all other active plugins? So far we’ve not had any issues with just 4.0 and Enfold 2.9.2 like the above so unless something went wrong on the installation it should be running without any errors.
Regards,

Have you overwritten all files when you updated the theme via FTP? If not, please do so – http://vimeo.com/67209750

Can you please place freshly downloaded Enfold.zip file somewhere and point out the location so we can try updating once again? Would it be ok if we deactivate all plugins?

I did update Enfold to the 2.9.2 version and then to WP 4.0 both updated were made with WP interface.
I encountered several problem.
First with SEO Yoast, pages URL displaying the posts are being changed automatically to the title of the post…Also I have some post which I can’t even display anymore.
I tried to deactivate the plugins but there is still some Post which I can’t view…
Please do you have any recommendation?
Thanks
September 14, 2014 at 3:16 pm #318870Hello,
I have updated to WordPress 4.0 with Enfold theme 2.6.2 and experiencing the same problems you mention here, cannot edit pages or access to multimedia files either. Have already bought the latest Enfold 2.9.2 version to upgrade but I do not want to loose all prior content on my HTP. Can you please tell me how to upgrade Enfold without loossing all previous enfold 2.6.2 information?
I have already tried disabling all plugins but it does not seem to work either. Thanks for your help!

September 14, 2014 at 7:35 pm #318907I had installed WordPress 3.9.2 with enfold 2.9.2, everthing worked fiine. After Update to WordPress 4.0 i cannot drag or edit widgets on the Design – Widgets page. If I activate another theme, everything works fine. But if I go back to enfold, again the same troubles. Any recommendations?

September 15, 2014 at 6:49 am #319036Hi!
Thank you for using Enfold.
If you’re running any minify or cache plugins, please deactivate those then test the site again. Make sure that you test on another browser or remove the cache or history of the one you’re using then check it again. Deactivate all plugins to make sure that there are no plugin errors or incompatibility issues.

All plugins are deactivated…
Thanks
September 15, 2014 at 1:24 pm #319164Hey!
@sunjones I have installed Enfold child theme and activated it, it does work fine now
@resultsaccelerated Can you post the link to your website please?Best regards,
YigitSeptember 15, 2014 at 1:42 pm #319169Thank you Yigit, glad you were able to resolve this.
I have a couple of other Enfold sites that I am yet to update to WordPress 4.0. Could you explain how you did this so I can avoid the same issue again?
All the best, David.
September 15, 2014 at 1:47 pm #319176Hi David!
In fact, i was not able to solve the issue with parent theme. I simply installed child theme and it looks/works fine. We recommend the use of child theme ( http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ ) to all users. Some other users had issues with WordPress 4.0 and Enfold 2.9.2 but they were mostly plugin related issues and you are the only user i know reported such issue. Updating theme should go smooth on your other sites, if not, please use child theme on those sites as well. You can go to Enfold child theme options and import parent theme settings after installing child theme
Cheers!

Such issues may occur on any WordPress theme. Massive update of Enfold is on the way, which will troubleshoot some bugs and add lots of new features.
Well, hope other theme works for you. Good luck on your project!Cheers!

ClaudioSeptember 15, 2014 at 10:28 pm #319451Hi Yigit,
I’m experiencing a little bit different problems then previous posters (after updating both wp and theme to the latest versions)
All plugins are disabled.
The site in question is: http://stamparija.com/
1. Mega Menu not working – under menu items “Proizvodi” and “Štamparija”
2. Custom CSS seems not to be working – Example: http://stamparija.com/proizvodi/blokovi/
The “Load more” text is changed in Custom CSS with:
#top .av-masonry-load-more:before {
content: ‘Klik ovde da pogledate još slika’;
font-family:”Trebuchet MS”, Arial, sans-serif !important;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 22px !important;
color: #dd127b;
}But as you can see, the change is no happening on the page itself
3. Blog sidebar is now below the content, even though the sidebar line is still there (both on main blog page and on individual posts)
http://stamparija.com/blog/
http://stamparija.com/zlatiborac-papirici-za-zvake/
Suggestions for previous posts are below the footer (you can see it when you hover over the footer edges)4. Social share buttons are totally messed up (you can see it on post page link above)
5. Scroll to top button is also showing text by default (not on hover, and the font size is huge)
…Thanks!
September 16, 2014 at 3:43 am #319544Hey All!
WordPress 4.0 can only work with Enfold version 2.9.2+. Updating does not remove any page data.
If you are having a plugin conflict with WordPress 4.0 make sure you deactivate it. If you have plugins that are not compatible with 4.0 then you need to update or deactivate them.
If you have any other issues let us know in a new topic with admin credentials as private data. So far we have had a small handful of quick fixes come up but nothing that has warranted a bug fix release at this point. This is over the span of 30k users so theme bugs should be highlighted very quickly for us but so far have not.
So if you are still having issues make a new topic just for your issue and site so that we can take a look.
Cheers!
