I noticed a two of my sites some elements quit working like progress bar, team member hover icons, according slider contact form.
I haven’t worked on these sites in a few days and WP updated itself to 4.0.1 today. I’m wondering could this autoupdate be the cause?
I haven’t seen other issues, but i haven’t really looked either.please let me know…
November 20, 2014 at 11:57 pm #354632nevermind, i see the change log now…
November 20, 2014 at 11:59 pm #354635And also the Easy slider…
After the update the list of ul class=”avia-slideshow-inner” is empty.November 21, 2014 at 12:00 am #354637I’m also having problems with the full screen sliders and contact forms… how did you fix it?
November 21, 2014 at 12:17 am #354673you have to update theme
November 21, 2014 at 12:18 am #354674lol, i just got the email from Envato of new theme update available. would have been nice to get the email earlier
November 21, 2014 at 12:30 am #354694They pushed out the theme update just now in response to WP auto-updating WordPress to 4.1. There was no beta released for the authors to test, so they had no idea it would cause issues. Looks like they attended to it as quickly as they were able ;)
November 21, 2014 at 12:35 am #354703Understood. Enfold team is usually on top of things. we should all rage at WP for this.
it’s unacceptable.
November 21, 2014 at 12:37 am #354711Wordpress pushed an update to fix a security vulnerability. Nothing to ‘rage’ at them for other than protecting our interests.
November 21, 2014 at 12:49 am #354736tell that to my clients.
November 21, 2014 at 12:50 am #354741most of my clients dont’ have proprietary info on their sites.
November 21, 2014 at 12:52 am #354748I didn’t get an email about an update have they fixed this.
November 21, 2014 at 12:58 am #354758I’ve received one email from theme forest (you have to opt into these emails) and I believe they are waiting on Theme Forest to release a second newer update. They may still be working on a few things… Also in terms of the blame game, stuff happens. It’s likely somebody found a security hole or tried to hack something, WP had to rush out an update. When WP rushes out an update, Enfold makers have to rush out an update… it all rolls down hill. It’s inconvenient but life’s like that. I find overloading myself with caffeine, finding humor, and helping each other out helps me cope ;) ;)
November 21, 2014 at 1:02 am #354759the update seems to have fixed most issues. however buttons still are not displaying in front end
November 21, 2014 at 1:03 am #354761gonna be long night lol

November 21, 2014 at 1:06 am #354764November 21, 2014 at 1:34 am #354799Thanks Kriesi, that did the trick. :)
@Pixallus I’m thinking I’m going to disable WP auto-updates on all of my sites so I can plan updates/upgrades in a time-managed fashion next time. This might work better for you too if you have that many sites on the go? I find this happens with all kinds of themes and the new auto-update ‘feature.’November 21, 2014 at 1:49 am #354807Yea i have them disabled on some sites especially the ones with lots of customizations. Most of their auto updates though don’t have such an impact. all we can do is deal with it. just something to remember to add on every new install. I’ve been thinking about making a WP site with some standard plugins and features, then use it for each new project. This way I don’t have to re-create the wheel each time.
Kriesi is on top of it though!
