    Dear Support,
I have created a customized shop home page for WooCommerce, and I have not set the base page for the shop in WooCommerce settings as you suggested in other topic, this to avoid the Woocommerce template. This works fine but creates two problems that I ask you how to solve:
    1. When I am on the cart page with an empty cart, the button “Return to shop” is linked on itself (does not return to the corrected shop home page).
    2. The breadcrumb track does not show the shop home page, but only the home page of the website (for exemple: “You are here: Home / Cart” instead of “You are here: Home / Shop / Cart”)
Can someone help me about this? Thank you
    Guido

    Hi Guido!

You must set a base page for WooCommerce – otherwise it will not work properly. You can try to add a page redirection to the shop page (i.e. try: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-301-redirects/ ) which redirects the user to your “custom” shop page when he clicks on the “Return to shop” or breadcrumb link.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Thank Peter,

I tried the suggested redirect plugin but does not work because every time you want to access the cart page, you are redirected to the home page.

I think the best solution will be to set the base page in Woocommerce, but how to override the standard template?

I have set the base page in the test website and I have a strage response: I use WPML and the standard language (Italian) works fine but when I switch to English the page is not correct. Please check the page here: http://test.nannini.com/home-shop/ and then switch the English to understand what I mean.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hey!

You would need to create your template as a php file and use the WooCommerce templating: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/template-structure/

WooCommerce by itself just doesn’t allow for the shop page to be set from within WordPress and then use that pages layout as far as I know.

    Cheers!
    Devin
