    Hello,

Since the latest update to WP 3.9 and WooCommerce 2.1.8 (we’re running Enfold 2.7) our users can no longer make purchase on our site because when they click to checkout they get the “Error establishing a database connection” message. I’ve submitted a ticket to Woo, but wonder if this is a theme compatibility issue? I’ve increased the memory limit (to 96M, then 128M) and this had no effect. I also tried reinstalling WordPress 3.9 and tried to alter the permissions of the admin-functions.php file (which I read on one of the boards in the hours I’ve spent trying to figure this out!) – nothing helped and I set the permissions back (to 572).

You can see the issue here…

… add an item and try to check out.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

Does it happen with the default WordPress theme?

    Cheers!

    Hi Jouse,

I went to the 2014 theme tested it and checkout worked. Then I went back to Enfold and it seems to work now? Not sure why this is the case. One of the things that drives me nuts when support folks ask me to do this is MANY of the settings get screwed-up and now I have the issue of remapping all the widgets for example. Probably fodder for another thread, but why can we not just switch between themes without losing so many settings?!

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Hi Larry!

We ask his because we need to discard if the issue is caused by the theme or not. At least on my experience i have never encountered this settings lose when switching themes, maybe there is some theme-dependent plugin/configuration, it would be a matter of testing.

    Best regards,
    Josue
