On activating the Advanced Layout Editor there is a warning: “Please note that the Advanced Layout Builder for products will not work with all WooCommerce Extensions”. So I deactivated all extentions “Woocommerce germanisized”, but still the product shows up very poor without picture and text given in “short description area”. On deactivating Advanced layout Editor product picture and text are shown on product page.
Q: Does ALE at all work with any Woocommerce or do I have to switch off ALE with Woocommerce in product pages?

Sorry for the late reply, that is the expected behaviour of advanced layout builder. Advanced layout builder does not use the default WooCommerce loop. The reason for this is to provide complete control to the user while building a custom product page. If you want all of the regular product information, images, etc etc, to display then it would be best to use the default editor.
The “Plugin Additions” tab in the layout builder provides some extra options to add product details such as the add to cart button. Please use the default editor if you’re planning to install third party woocommerce extensions as the ALB do not use the default WooCommerce loop.

JordanRelated to this…. Of all the product specific sections that can be added in the Advanced Layout editor….the only one that shows anything at all is the add to cart button. Nothing like the product info or product info tab shows anything at all. Seems like they are kinda pointless to be honest. A lot of the sections from the default layout can easily be called to be displayed in a widget for the layout builder. Just feels like the advanced layout part isn’t being given the love. Things like the price and product info should be there, but it isn’t.

We would be glad to help you with this customization, but at the moment there is no easy way to do this by using a small custom code snippet, so I am afraid its out of the scope of our support.

This system allows us to keep track of user suggestions and lets you vote on the feature you would like to see the most. I am afraid though there is no guarantee that a feature will get implemented. If that’s something you really need you can always try to hire a developer for the task :)
