Hi,
The Shop Overview Page widget section doesn’t appear to be doing anything for me – as in, widgets put in there don’t display. If I put widgets in the Single Product Pages area then they show on the Shop page and the products pages.
How do I get the widget areas to display in the correct places?
July 13, 2015 at 5:04 pm #472563Hey alanboyle5355!
Are you sure your looking at the shop page you have set in Dashboard > Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display instead of a separate page your using the product shortcodes on?

Yep – I’m not using any shortcodes, the page is set in the settings.
The page is http://www.ofas.org.uk/products/

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

July 27, 2015 at 3:26 pm #479107Hi!
You have the “Office Furniture Products” page set as your Woocommerce Shop Overview page but when you edit that page you can see you have the sidebar set to “Single Product Pages”. Set it back to the “Default Sidebars” setting.
Cheers!

July 28, 2015 at 8:05 am #479486Hi,
I’m not sure but I can’t see any reason to why Elliott would do that, are you still having the problem or did you manage to get them restored?
Cheers!
RikardJuly 29, 2015 at 8:36 pm #480414No I agree, that’s why I was confused. On looking into it further it seems that the issue is in fact that the active theme had been changed from my Enfold Child to the standard Enfold installation which for some reason looses all the widget settings.
Don’t suppose anyone changed the active theme?
July 30, 2015 at 9:20 pm #480960Hi!
A child theme will save it’s own copy of the settings which includes the widgets. When you activate a new child theme you will need to configure the settings / widgets for it. They should still be there when you switch back and forth though.
