So my homepage will no show the frontpage that i setup in enfold, without me redirecting a 404 to it in the settings.
If I disable it, it will show an error page instead og the frontpageOctober 17, 2019 at 5:01 pm #1148986I have also tried to change the page in the WP settings, but it doesn’t help
October 18, 2019 at 6:22 am #1149117Hi,
I changed the custom 404 page to your Press page instead, but I can’t see any problems with the front page after that. Could you try to explain the problem a bit further please?
Best regards,
RikardOctober 18, 2019 at 8:10 am #1149164If I disable the 404 redirect. I get an error both on the mobile an in inkognito mode.

Can’t see why it should be necessary to have a custom 404 to get the frontpage to show correctly – I can only imagine that search engines will punish that kind of setupOctober 18, 2019 at 8:12 am #1149165When I´m logged in as admin is shows correctly
October 19, 2019 at 4:39 am #1149460Hi,
Thanks for the update, though I’m still unable to reproduce the problem. I changed the 404 page again and loaded the site in an incognito tab on Chrome/Android, and your front page is still loading fine on my end.
Best regards,
RikardOctober 21, 2019 at 10:57 am #1149796Yeah ok, I can’t get it to reproduce the error anymore either.
So I guess it’s ok nowOctober 21, 2019 at 11:21 am #1149811And then again not. When I check the .com domain it has the same problem. Without 404 redirect setup it fails. That means that the .com will redirect to the .dk domain and that’s no good
Just try to disable the redirect and see the error, don’t set it to another page. It shouldn’t be necessary to have it enabled to get the frontpage to work
I have several other Enfold pages and I have never seen this problem before.
dressedforroxette.com is the domain with the redirect errorRemember to flush cache before checking the if it works
October 22, 2019 at 3:33 am #1150011Hi,
So how can we check the settings you have on the .com site?
Best regards,
RikardOctober 22, 2019 at 11:06 am #1150112There is no settings. It´s just an attached domain, to the webhotel
You can just try to disable the redirect and then access the .com site, and see the error
You have to disable it and not just redirect to another siteOctober 23, 2019 at 4:11 am #1150352Hi,
I turned it off and I still can’t see any problems on either domain.
Best regards,
RikardOctober 23, 2019 at 8:35 am #1150403Ok that’s weird, I can easily produce the error. Have you deleted the cache etc afterwards. If I disable the redirect and empty the cache I get “page cannot be found” on both the .dk site and the .com
Also on the .com site the icons in the timeline won’t show correctly.
This is across browsers both on android and windows Chrome and Edge
I have attached screenshot from the last two- This reply was modified 5 years ago by runekjensen.
October 23, 2019 at 8:48 am #1150410Here is also af recording of the 404 problem – across devices at edge and chrome – both in inkognito mode
You can also see the redirect problem before from .com to .dk
October 23, 2019 at 11:37 am #1150463Hi,
Thanks for the video, what happens if you select the “Select Page” option in the list of pages and save? That is what I’ve been doing, and when doing that I can’t see any problems.
Best regards,
RikardOctober 23, 2019 at 11:55 am #1150465ok that works…it is weird that this is necessary
However the icons on the timeline still doesn’t display correctly on the .com site- This reply was modified 5 years ago by runekjensen.
