Hello,
My Widgets page doesn’t work after the 4.2 update. I can’t drug and drop the widgets and can’t open it. The page seems to be blocked.
On the other hand, the Menus page functions as usual.
Any idea ?

Thanks for the login details. Could you try deactivating all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please?

already done, but nothing happened, the problem remained…
November 2, 2017 at 4:48 am #871517Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. You get an error message for your child theme under Appearance->Themes
ERROR: Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.
Did you try to fix that? If that is not the problem then do we have permission to deactivate plugins in order to debug the problem?

yes, you have my permission, coz I have no idea where does this error come from.
November 3, 2017 at 9:12 am #872030Hi,
I deactivated all plugins and it started working again, so it’s due to one or more of your plugins. Could you try to deactivate all of them then activate them one by one to see which one is causing the problem?

RikardNovember 3, 2017 at 12:17 pm #872121Hi,
how is it possible ?
When I deactivate all plugins the problem doesn’t go! The widgets don’t work and the Error message in the Theme page remains.November 4, 2017 at 8:54 am #872426Hi,
I don’t know, but it worked when I deactivated all plugins. I’m guessing it’s due to those shortcode widgets you have at the top, though I’m not sure. If you activate the plugins one by one you will find that out.

RikardNovember 10, 2017 at 1:43 am #874925Hi,
The error, you were talking about, was actually in my Enfold-child style.css.
ERROR: Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.
I’ve corrected it.
But my widgets’ page still doesn’t work. I deactivated ALL my plugins (twice) but EVEN WITHOUT any plugins the widgets’ page doesn’t work, which happened after the last Enfold update. So obviously the problem is hidden somewhere else.
You have already all private details in the 1st message of this thread. Please, have a look and tell what’s wrong, coz I can’t manage my widgets anymore.November 10, 2017 at 6:43 pm #875289Hi Anton,
The error is in load-scripts.php in JavaScript. Can you update the WordPress again?

VictoriaNovember 13, 2017 at 6:48 pm #876204Hi,
I’ve found the solution here, FYI: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/media-library-broken-in-45-javascript-errors-in-load-scriptsphp/
define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true);
Towp-config.php
