With all the updates to WordPress, I’ve had trouble with using the Enfold widgets. Even the Widgets setup page is different than it used to be. Currently when I tried to add the Enfold Facebook Like widget and the Enfold Latest News widget, I am getting errors and it’s not allowing me to save them (see image Widget Error). How can I add these widgets?

June 25, 2022 at 12:11 am #1356444Hey advteksol,
Thanks for your question, you are seeing this error because you are using an old version: 4.7.5
Please update to v5.0.1 and this should be resolved, please note that you will need to enter an Envato personal token in the theme update panel.
Another way to update is to download the latest version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

MikeJuly 14, 2022 at 4:46 pm #1358346Thanks Mike. I installed the Token two weeks ago after reading the response above, but the site has not updated to the latest Enfold version. The token was verified (see image at https://imgur.com/5wa5dDr). It also indicates I have the latest version (which I do not) when I try to “Check Manually”. Any help would be appreciated.
July 14, 2022 at 5:54 pm #1358360Hi,
I can’t see a token added to the theme backend, where exactly did you add it? If the updates are not coming through via the theme backend, then please try to install and configure this plugin: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

RikardJuly 14, 2022 at 9:32 pm #1358383Not sure what you mean by backend, but I placed the token in the only place I know to – under the Enfold (Child) tab in the Theme Update section, as the picture above shows. Here’s the link again: .
Not interested in installing another plugin, when I have several other websites that work just fine without it. Just want to know what would cause it not to work?
July 14, 2022 at 10:01 pm #1358391Hi,
I don’t believe you have the specific Token permissions needed, your screenshot only shows these permissions:
Your purchases
Your username
Your email
but you need all of these checked when you create the Token:

MikeJuly 15, 2022 at 12:34 am #1358409The Token seemed to have all 7 items checked, but I made a new one and installed it just to make sure. Will let you know if it works.
July 15, 2022 at 1:05 am #1358414Hi,
Ok, I was just expecting your screenshot to show all of these listed instead of just the first three.
We will leave this open to hear back from you.
BTW, Envato does limit the number of times the token can be checked in a 24 hour period, there is no specific message involved, just try not to keep clicking the button a ton of times, try waiting a day.Best regards,
MikeAugust 10, 2022 at 5:45 pm #1361371Thanks. everything seems to be working now!
