Hi, I updated the Enfold theme to the latest version today, updated to WordPress 4.0 and updated all plugins.
Issue is that I am having problems with Footer widgets since and no matter what I try I can’t seem to fix them. The Facebook Like Box which I have placed in a text widget has a transparent background when I want white like it was.
The Google Maps widget is not displaying the map.
I have created a guest login for you if required.
Details in private content
Thanks
November 1, 2014 at 1:41 am #344415Hi GOWD!
Did you get this sorted? I viewed your link but the facebook widget has a white background and the google map is displaying fine. If your still seeing issues then try clearing your browser cache and any caching plugins you may have installed.
Best regards,

whenever we make any changes to the site they take place but we don’t see them for hours, we have updated other sites on the same server and we see the changes immediately so we know it is just this website.
The caching plugin is deactivated and we cleared all browser cache but we know it is not our machines and browsers as if it was we would not see changes we are making to other websites.
I have the hosting company looking into it also but they can’t seem to find the issue.
Could it be a .htaccess issue or what server side would delay it serving the new pages?November 2, 2014 at 4:37 pm #344880Hi!
Sounds like a caching issue, are you sure all plugins are deactivated and your browser cache is cleared? Go ahead and update our login to admin role and we’ll take a closer look.
Cheers!

Thank you for the info.
I created a test page based on the home page template, add a few elements then updated the theme. The layout stays the same after a few changes. http://terenure5mile.com/test-home-page/
Is issues still happening on the home page?
Cheers!
IsmaelNovember 6, 2014 at 6:27 pm #347229Hi Ismael, the homepage I set up is a new page, I deleted the old one as it was beyond saving and the new one has been fine.
The last clue I have as to what is causing problems is that Chrome when a page loads has a spinning wheel in the tab, then blank page, if I click the X and the page loads.
I have deactivated all extensions but it still happens.
Am out of ideas at this stage!
Ps – am going to delete your test homepage for fear of confusion.
November 7, 2014 at 9:25 am #347585Hey!
I’m sorry but I’m not sure what you mean by “spinning wheel in the tab”. Can you please provide a screenshot of this?
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 11, 2014 at 8:42 pm #349655Hi Ismael,
spinning wheel relates to the loading wheel animation in the browser tab.
I now know my machine or browsers are not the issue.
My host claims it is not them.
Wordpress is up to date.
I have sent my websites off to a consultant to check before I update any more to Enfold 3.0.2 to see if he can get to the bottom of the problems.
Am still having issues with updating it, slow backend, hanging, freezing etc.
Will let you know what the guy I sent it to comes back with.
Best regards, Denis

It seems to be updating fine on my end. Is it just the homepage your having issues with? Does it just happen in Chrome?

November 21, 2014 at 8:42 pm #355541Hi Elliot, I found other posts on the forum from people with same problems and they said the solution was to updated the theme via Ftp instead of through the Admin area and that fixed it.
I wish I knew that a month ago.
