    Hi team,

I’ve tried to add a widget sidebar menu to one of my Industries Page and it won’t appear. I’ve tried setting it up like previous widgets. Not sure why it won’t work!

    Hey Lara,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I checked your site and there was no issue with the widget. The php code you entered did not refer any menu. It only registers a menu area.

Please use a Navigation menu instead and select the menu you like to display from the widget settings.

You can also create a new menu from Appearance > Menu

I have changed the columns to Grid row so that when you add a widget in 1/4 column it will not create a big gap between the column rows :)

If you like to adjust the width of the grid row please check https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/grid-row/#grid-row-width

If you like to revert the changes please use the revisions in the publish options.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hi Vinay,

Thanks for getting back to me!

I need the Industries page to look like my other pages with a widget sidebar menu.

I had previously put that PHP code in and it worked fine with these pages?

Seems like the links didn’t work in my previous reply…

    Hi there,

Sorry about the delay in my response.

I’m still having the same issues, where my widget area for subnav on the industries pages wont appear.

    Hi Victoria,

I’ve had to create widgets for sidebars as I’ve created a duplicate footer in a colour section which does not allow me to have normal sidebars.

I’ve been able to have sidebar menus in widgets on my other pages but for some reason my Industries widget won’t work on any of the pages.

    Hi Lara,

If you build pages with color sections you will not get the sidebar or the sidebar will be pushed down. So you need to use a different container, like 1/1 for example.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

On other pages with colour sections I’ve created widget area submenus. If you go to any of these pages, you’ll see these.
It doesn’t work on my Industries pages.

    Hi Lara,

I see that, can you give me the links to the pages where it does not work, please?

    Best regards,

These pages have widget areas that display sidebar menus. I need this for my industries (main menu) drop down items.

    Hi Lara,

You can add a 1/3 container in the section, add the widget area there and assign necessary widgets.

If I this not what you mean, could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

Yes, this is why I’m contacting kresi because the widget area is not showing.

Is it possible for me to speak to someone else please?

    Hi,

The avia_sidebar_menu() function will only work if you set up a page hierarchy, thus you need to choose a parent page for your “industries” sub-pages. I selected on one page (see private content) the parent page “Industries” and a menu item showed up. You need to add more child pages to extend the menu.

    Best regards,
