Hi – My website is now live. If I put a link in my yahoo mail, the featured image on my homepage shows up and the new title to my website. On Facebook, however, the old title from WP.com shows up and a random photo from my home page (the one used in one of the blog post portfolio).
This is my homepage http://dominiquehurley.com
I know it’s linked to my new site because the sub-text is my invitation to opt in to my email list – that wasn’t on my old site.
And here is a screen shot of the FB post

Any ideas? Is it just a timing thing?
Thanks.
Hey Dominique
It should be caching issue. Have you checked if it was fixed over the weekend?
Regards,
Yigit
I just checked. It’s still the old one. Maybe it just takes time for FB to catch up. I don’t want to take your time on this. Please close if not appropriate. Thank you.
Hey!
Yes, it takes time before facebook repick the data. It will change automatically in time. Try to install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
Refer to this link for more info: http://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-add-open-graph-tags-to-wordpress
Look for the WordPress SEO by Yoast section.
Cheers!
Ismael
Thanks, I installed and tried to fill it out, but it didn’t work. I’m sure the mistake is at my end – too advanced for me. I’ll wait and hope for the best. Resolved.
