    southerngames.com
recently used All-In-One WP Migration to update a site.
I have access to the admin area and when I change the theme, the site loads.
I have deleted the enfold folder from the wp-content and re uploaded a fresh theme and still it doesn’t work.
    Any ideas?

I used the All-In-One WP Migration plug in successfully from a subdomain to my localhost on this site.

    Hey JPGlobal,
Please check with your webhost as to what the server logs say the error 500 is from, this is a Internal Server Error and could be from many things.
I see you are using PHP Version: 5.4.45, updating to v7 sometimes helps.
    also try disabling your plugins.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Yes I disabled all plugins prior to asking for help. I have reverted the theme back to the default with a temporary landing page and have requested that the server upgrade the PHP.
Is it possible to use an older version of Enfold to temporarily show the new site? If so, where would I get that version?

Also, I tried to disable the debug mode and got this error:

Your PHP code changes were rolled back due to an error on line 6 of file wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php. Please fix and try saving again.
Can’t use function return value in write context

So I replaced the header.php file and still get the same errors.

    Hi,
Typically the error on line 6 of file wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php is due to a older PHP version being used by your webhost, please ask them to update your PHP version to v7
Another solution could be to replace your header.php with this one.
Sorry for the same answer twice now, but since WordPress 4.9 has moved to PHP v7 we had to follow, an older Enfold will not help as those customers have the same issue with the new WordPress. Although our dev team has created the header.php above to help with this, but in the long run updating the PHP is going to be necessary. Webhosts are aware of this issue.

    Best regards,
    Mike
