    Hi there,

    today I recognized that I can’t access my WordPress site – not the frontend nor the backend.

    Im using enfold and I didnt touch it since months.

    Do you have any Idea what could be the reason.

    Hey Victoria, thanks for your response.

    I think Im using php version 5.6 and php boost (that’s what it says in the strato interface)

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I tried checking the URL you linked to, but it redirects to a Facebook URL. We need to at least be able to access the site URL if we are going to be able to help you out. PHP 5.6 is no longer supported by WordPress or the theme, I would suggest that you try to update to 7.2 or higher, first of all.

    Hey Rikard,

    thanks for looking into this issue.

    I set the links back to WordPress and activated Php 7.4 via Strato.

    Still doesn’t work.

    as far as I know, ftp access is not enabled

    Hi vincenttro,

    Do you have the cPanel access or the like?

    Those errors are not theme-specific, those are general WordPress errors. Do you have other error in the logs now?

    i do allways layout and setup new installation first on own servers – then migrate that installation by Duplicator Pro to the new Customer Hoster.
    With Strato – i got big problems to do that. I know on Strato that i had to switch off the “php boost” Option on Database Tab. But even then i could migrate – but only the backend is working correct – so i can login – but the frontend does not work. The homepage could not be opend.
    A solution to all this is not yet in sight. Unfortunately, by turning off the php boost then also the TTFB ( Time to first byte ~ Serverresponse Time ) is bad so that even pages build very slowly.

    Hi,
    Guenni007 I’m not sure if you realized that this thread is almost 20 months old so this user is probably not watching this thread anymore, but in my experience anyone using the web host Strato had a lot of issues and I don’t recall any of them being resolved, in the ones I recall the users switched to a different host.
    I don’t know why, but most users also had a poor experience with the Strato support when trying to find solutions.
