Tagged: site map
I’m replacing an out of date site map plugin with Google XML Sitemaps. I realize this is “101,” but I don’t know how to get the sitemap to show on my site at the location I want.
Users find my sitemap by clicking the word “sitemap” in the socket. I edited the socket content via the Enfold Footer menu in Appearance > Menus. My previous site map had a shortcode, and TBH, I’m not the person who installed it in my site’s socket. Now, if I plug https://www.MYWEBSITE.org/sitemap.xml into the footer menu as a custom link on the word Sitemap, it just leads to a big list of files. How do I get the map itself to show up by clicking on an item in the socket?
Hi missouriartscouncil,
What you want may not be an XML sitemap but an HTML sitemap, please check this article: https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/how-to-create-wordpress-sitemap
Hope it helps.
