Hi there,
I haven’t added any WooCommerce product in a while or edited them, but I am sure that in the Publish box in the top right corner there would always be a Preview Changes button there for me to view those changes prior to choosing to publish them.
I checked on my Posts and Pages and it is there but for some reason when I go into Products and choose to edit one, it doesn’t appear.
Am I going crazy? Is there a reason I would not be seeing it? Can I bring it back?I also appear to be getting this popup message in the editor
The backup of this post in your browser is different from the version below. Restore the backup
This will replace the current editor content with the last backup version. You can use undo and redo in the editor to get the old content back or to return to the restored version.
Currently, I am just clicking that away, but don’t recall having seen that before either??? Plus, where is Undo and Redo? I don’t see those in the editor either.Screenshots in Pvt Content

Thank you for using Enfold.
That button is visible on my installation. Have you tried disabling the plugins? Maybe, there’s a conflict somewhere.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 21, 2018 at 1:39 pm #1036043Hi Ismael, What version WooCommerce are you using 3.5.1?
It is interesting you say that you see the preview button when editing products because I saw yesterday on WooCommerce forums that the developers of WooCommerce had taken the decision to remove this preview functionality after the last version update.Changelog from version 3.5.0
* Tweak – Hide Preview button when creating new products, as most fields aren’t set up for it. #20650November 22, 2018 at 11:12 am #1036431Hi,
The plugin on my local installation is still on version 3.4.6 and I’m not aware of that change. Thanks for the info.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 22, 2018 at 2:10 pm #1036515Hi Ismael,
There is more info on Github here
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/20641November 22, 2018 at 5:24 pm #1036629Ismael,
It would appear that as long as the product has not been published and saved as draft status one can still preview changes. However, at the point that product becomes published there is no way to preview and future changes or (as far as I can see) save it in draft mode again.Regards
CraigNovember 23, 2018 at 6:04 pm #1037037Hi,
I think they disabled it because of this:
No meta boxes, even product data e.g. price, show when previewing because WP doesn’t auto save custom meta boxes.
Unfortunately, we can’t work around their modifications. You have to contact them.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 23, 2018 at 7:26 pm #1037086No problem there are many people asking for it back so who knows.
Good to know for other users though. -
